The Mission Impossible holiday club has been an amazing week, with over 40 children coming along each morning enjoying singing, quizzes, games, craft, competitions and stories from the Bible.
Our theme ‘Mission Impossible’ was designed to bring to life stories from the Bible which are seemingly impossible, but how God through His Son Jesus Christ, made them possible.
The impossible baby (the birth of Jesus), the impossible rules (commandments), the impossible belief (Jairus daughter), the impossible picnic (feeding of the 5,000) and the impossible rescue (the Easter story), were all brought to life with interactive visual presentations.
Each day the children took home a memory verse applicable to that day’s story and were encouraged to learn it for the following day to give them stamps on their cards, which at the end of the week would be totalled up for prize giving.
Craft time saw the children making lots of interesting things including a pencil case, promise chest and baskets along with biscuits and chocolate fish (for the story of the feeding of the 5,000).
We thank all the leaders and helpers at the holiday club and the parents for sending their children along. We look forward to next year’s holiday club……..watch the website for more details early in 2019!
