Each Sunday at 5.45pm a short service is held in the lounge of Leatherland Lodge, the local elderly folks home.
Residents are free to attend if they so wish and there is often half a dozen who come along. The half hour service, which has continued for the past 50+ years, includes favourite hymns, prayer and Bible reading time with an application by means of a short gospel message.
For many of the people at the Lodge, this is the only time they get to hear about the wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.
