What, or should I say who, can make a difference to our world in a day that’s getting morally darker before our eyes?
Many of us are indignant and saddened by the terrible knife crime around us. What’s to be done?
Can we, the Lord’s people make a difference?
Having just begun a church Bible study series on the Sermon on the Mount, can the poor-spirited, meek, sin-mourning, thirsting-for-righteousness kind of a person really have much impact for good in our society today?
Well, the Lord Jesus Christ thought we could. He told His disciples , “You ARE the salt of the earth … You ARE the light of the world.” (Matt 5:13-14)
Let us speak up and act with boldness as the people of Christ that we are. If you are shining for Christ and pointing people to Him; if you are maintaining a life that is good and right, and encouraging others to do the same, then you CAN make a difference. Just as “A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden”, so your influence will not be lost.
