We’ve returned to the Chapel !
After months of not physically being able to get together, we are overjoyed to be back again.
We would be delighted if you could join us, and for those reluctant or unable to come in person, please do join us online. As well as our Sunday morning service, we plan in October to return to holding our Sunday evening services and those will also be streamed.
Being able to return reminds me of verse 7 of Isaiah chapter 55. It reads:-
“Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him RETURN to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”
Perhaps there was a period in your life where you knew the Lord. You had placed your trust in Him and in His soul-saving work at the cross, but now you are far from Him. This verse from God’s Word urges you to return to Him. Turn away from the sin that has separated you from the God you once knew and come back to Him. The Lord Jesus Christ has not changed, neither has the cleansing worth of what He did for you at Calvary. He still loves you and He welcomes back every sheep that has wandered from Him.
Maybe you have never known the Lord. Maybe you are still a stranger to His mercy. His Word urges YOU too – forsake your sin. Turn away from a life of unrighteousness and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. God sent His Son as a Saviour for all that would believe on Him, and on the cross, He took the sinners place under God’s wrath. We only gain the benefit of that death however, and the pardon and blessing God offers, if we return to the Lord, confessing our sin, yielding our lives to Christ, and trusting fully in His sacrifice for us.
